Garden Ornaments

Garden ornaments add life and interest to a garden setting.  Whilst trees, flowers, and plants form a backdrop and define your borders, adding a garden ornament here and there would accent certain areas of the garden and draw the eye.  Whether it's garden statues or something like a garden plaque on a bare wall, it says a lot about who you are and what sort of 'look' you are trying to achieve.  A Japanese stone garden pagoda would look strangely out of place in a wildflower type English garden setting but would be a wonderful addition to a minimalist Asian garden theme.

Concrete Garden Ornaments

Concrete garden ornaments with their muted tones will go with most garden decors. Garden plaques are wonderful additions to a bare garden wall as are floral painted plaques. It all depends on the look you aspire to achieve.

Metal Garden Ornaments

There are various garden ornaments that would fall into this category - garden obelisks, bronze statuary<amongst other things.  Copper things tend to degrade to a lovely verdigris patina which has a certain appeal.  Even rusting old garden tools can be turned into a work of art if used in the proper setting.  Let your imagination take you to places you never thought of going to!

Garden ornaments with a touch of whimsy

If you are tired of tradition and would like a bit of humour in your garden, then these garden ornaments are ideal.  Some gardens I've seen just have that magical Alice in Wonderland feel about them, whether it's the bold use of color as a backdrop or the artefacts dotted throughout which give it that whimsical other worldliness touch.
